The Pro Skin Artisan Pigment Recovery Night Serum has been created as the evening step in our Pigmentation Recovery System, with 10% Niacinamide to support a stronger skin barrier while helping improve the appearance of pigmentation, uneven tone and dullness.

Rather than aggressively exfoliating or stripping the skin in an attempt to remove pigment, this serum takes a skin-first approach — supporting healthier skin function and helping reduce the visible signs of uneven pigmentation over time.

Niacinamide, a form of Vitamin B3, is particularly valuable for pigmentation-prone skin because it can help reduce the transfer of melanin-containing melanosomes into surrounding skin cells, helping to improve the appearance of existing uneven pigmentation while simultaneously supporting barrier function.

Why Niacinamide for pigmentation?

Pigmentation isn't simply something sitting on the surface of the skin waiting to be exfoliated away.

Melanin is produced within melanocytes and transferred into surrounding keratinocytes, where it contributes to the pigmentation we see at the skin's surface. Niacinamide has been shown to help reduce this transfer process, making it an excellent ingredient for supporting a more even-looking complexion.

Importantly, it does this while also helping strengthen the skin's barrier — particularly valuable when managing skin prone to inflammation and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
